Building HG’s UK Brand Through PR & Influencer Marketing

The Challenge

 

As a brand-new concept in business legal services, shizl had no brand awareness. For

business owners to trust shizl with their most confidential operating details, the

company had to be seen as a trusted organisation, which required significant

endorsement.

A key challenge was educating SME business owners about the risks of not complying

with legal documentation and storage. Additionally, as traditional legal services can be

expensive, it was crucial to communicate shizl's inexpensive £36 per month

subscription and its core messaging.

As a pre-seed startup, it was essential that all communication and PR activities were

highly effective and impactful.

The Strategy

Our strategy focuses on raising the profile of shizl and its key team members, leveraging their

expertise to establish the platform as a leader in the industry.

 

• Executive Profiling: We profile key shizl spokespeople, including Rebecca Kelly (Legal Partner,

Technology and Data) and the shizl Founder. This demonstrates the deep legal expertise that

underpins our platform.

• Thought Leadership: We create and distribute thought leadership content specifically for the

SME sector, establishing shizl as a valuable resource. We also work with shizl clients to develop

endorsing content and case studies.

• Media Relations: We maintain a consistent news flow, engaging with business, local, and SME

press. We actively monitor media inquiries and position the shizl team to comment on relevant

SME business news, ensuring the company remains part of the current news agenda.

• Awards and Events: To increase shizl’s visibility within the startup and technology communities,

we enter shizl into influential awards programs. We will also identify and represent shizl at key

SME and technology events to build direct awareness with their target audiences.
